How to setup Claude API to use Anthropic's Claude models in 16x Prompt to bypass the web interface usage limit.

Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet is a powerful AI model known for its strong coding capabilities. However, the usage limit on Claude web interface is too low for daily coding tasks.

Here's how you can use Claude API in 16x Prompt to get around this limitation and get much higher usage limit.

  1. Sign up or log in to Anthropic Console with your Anthropic account
  2. Ensure you have some balance in your account to use Claude API

  1. Go to API Keys and click on "Create Key" to generate a new API key

  1. Copy the API key (make sure to save it as it won't be shown again)
  2. Open 16x Prompt and click on the settings icon in the top right corner

  1. Enter the API key into the "Anthropic API Key" field

Once you have setup the Anthropic API key, you can start using Claude models in 16x Prompt by following these steps:

  1. Go to 16x Prompt and click on the API model settings button in the bottom right corner

  1. Go to OpenAI • Anthropic • DeepSeek tab
  2. Click on the Claude model you want to use to select it (e.g., Claude 3.5 Sonnet)

  1. Click "Close" button to close the model settings dialog

Now you can send prompts to Claude via API in 16x Prompt to get much higher usage limit.
